Valery Carnoy is a young Belgian director and image operator trained at the National Institute of Performing Arts (INSAS) in Brussels, initially trained in Intercultural Psychology at the University of Brussels (ULB).

In 2018, his graduation short film, My Planet has been selected in more than eighty prestigious film festivals. (Pöff, Bsff, Brest, Tokyo, Trouville, Aubagne).

In 2021, he completed his second short film Titan, a Franco-Belgian coproduction (Helicotronc and Punchline Cinema), selected in more than a hundred international festivals (Clermont-Ferrand, Molodist, Interfilm Berlin, Message to man, Raindance, Regard, Odense, Palm Springs...), winning over fourty prizes (Bsff, Rhode Island, Fiff, Busan, Oberhausen, Tirana). The film was also nominated to les Magrittes du Cinéma (Belgium Awards) and selected at the César.

In 2023, he received a writing and development grant from the Belgium federation to make his first feature film Dance of the Foxes, a French and Belgian coproduction (Hélicotronc, Film du poisson), which will start shooting in the summer of 2024.
