Stribor's Forest
Dans une forêt paisible et mystérieuse, une mère et son fils vivent en harmonie, jusqu'à ce qu'un étrange serpent les surprenne et vienne troubler leur tranquillité. Le serpent se métamorphose en une belle jeune fille et séduit le fils, un peu simplet. La mère s'enfonce alors dans la forêt à la recherche de Stribor, un dieu de la forêt, pour lui demander de l'aide. Mais lorsqu'elle le trouve, les choses prennent une tournure inattendue et la mère doit rassembler tout son courage et sa force pour sauver son fils. Cette interprétation légère du conte d'Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić joue avec la tradition et donne au récit original une tournure à la fois sombre et comique.
In a peaceful, but mysterious forest, a mother and a son live in harmony, until a strange serpent sneaks up on them, disturbing their peace. The serpent turns into a beautiful maiden and seduces the dim-witted son. Mother then goes into the forest to search for Stribor, a forest god, and ask him for help. However, when she finds him, things start to develop in an unexpected way and mother must gather all her courage and strength to save her son. This lighthearted interpretation of the story of Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić plays with tradition and gives the original story a dark, but comical twist.
