À travers des images remarquables tournées sur la terre et dans la mer, le film de Jennifer Rainsford célèbre la résilience humaine et la beauté infinie de notre planète.

On March 11, 2011, a tsunami devastated the coasts of Japan, claiming thousands of lives. Today, the scars of this tragedy remain visible. Yet in spite of this, people, plants and animals alike continue to exist. Through striking images shot on land and in the sea, Jennifer Rainsford’s film celebrates human resilience and the endless beauty of our planet.

Jennifer Rainsford est une artiste visuelle et réalisatrice basée à Stockholm. Ses courts métrages et installations ont été présentés à des festivals tels que Oberhausen, Berlinale, Rotterdam et CPH:DOX. Son dernier film Lake On Fire a été sélectionné pour la compétition principale de courts métrages au festival du film Göteborg en 2020. All of our heartbeats are connected through exploding stars est son premier long métrage documentaire. Il a gagné le prix Guldbagge (récompense des films Suédois) pour la meilleure conception sonore et a été sélectionné dans des festivals comme Vision du réel et Hotdocs.

Jennifer Rainsford, is a visual artist and director based in Stockholm. Her short films and installations have been shown at festivals such as Oberhausen, Berlinale, Rotterdam and CPH:DOX. Her last film Lake on Fire was selected for the main short film competition at Göteborg Film Festival 2020. All of our heartbeats are connected through exploding stars is her first feature length documentary, it won the Guldbagge (Swedish film awards) for best sound design, it has been screened in festivals such as Vision du reel and Hotdocs.
