Lisa Chevalier, film composer and graduate from the CNSMD in Lyon, developed an early interest in creation, sound experimentation, and cinema. Influenced by the musical hybridity of contemporary music, she explores a sensory, corporeal, and dreamlike dimension within acoustic and electronic sound.
In 2022, she received the Cinézik Prize at the MCM. In 2024, she won the Unanimes! competition and received both the Toulouse Capitole National Orchestra Prize and the Audience Award.
She composes for fiction films, such as Par souci pédagogique (Charlotte Cayeux & Hassan Benali) and De la poudre noire dans les veines (Joseph Couturier), for animated films, such as Opération Père Noël (Marc Robinet), and for documentaries, such as Nakal (Flore Nappée).
In parallel, she explores other forms of relationships between music and images. She created the soundtrack for the acrobatic dance solo Mahamat (La Main de l’Homme company) and composed, from a scenario, the symphonic piece Réveil à l’aube d’une ville, performed in 2025 by the Montpellier Opera.
