Hara Kaminara is a Greek and Cypriot artist, photographer, and filmmaker currently based in Marseille.
Her interdisciplinary artistic practice brings together photography, drawing, video, and objects, which she assembles into collages, montages, and installations. Her work explores the relationship between intimate narratives and collective history, with a particular focus on memory, transmission, and migration.
She has taken part in several artist residencies, exhibitions, and presentations across Europe and the Mediterranean region.
Her first feature-length documentary, Letter to Nikola (2021), which opened the Month of Documentary Film in Brussels, has been screened at numerous international festivals and received several awards, including the Special Jury Prize at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, Best Documentary Feature at the Dublin Independent Film Festival, and the Gaze Award at the FAITO Doc Festival.
She regularly contributes to collaborative projects and develops an engaged artistic practice at the intersection of creation, research, and transmission. She is currently working on a new documentary project entitled Vie de chien.
