Jérôme Paillard

Producer Jérôme Paillard is a member of the feature film competition jury at the 27th edition of the Festival international Music & Cinema Marseille.


A former classical musician, then artistic director and later financial director of the Erato label, Jérôme Paillard went on to become a film producer and worked alongside Daniel Toscan du Plantier at Erato Films, where he produced around fifteen feature films by Satyajit Ray, Mehdi Charef, Souleymane Cissé, Maurice Pialat, Jean-Charles Tacchella, among others.

In 1995, he joined the Cannes Film Festival and for twenty-seven years directed the Marché du Film, which he transformed into the world’s leading platform for professional film industry meetings, now bringing together producers, distributors, and financiers from across the globe.

Founder of Cinando, a benchmark digital platform for the industry, he also spearheaded the introduction of new technologies within the Marché. In 2010, he created Ventana Sur in Buenos Aires, the first market dedicated to Latin American cinema.

Since 2022, Jérôme Paillard has worked as a consultant for international events and film and cultural projects, and also serves as a mediator in the audiovisual sector. He is also an aircraft pilot and instructor.
