In a clearing, a race begins to determine who is the fastest: the persevering tortoise or the agile hare. Both are convinced they are the best, encouraged enthusiastically by the owl, the squirrel, and the snail. Suddenly, in the middle of the race, the runners disappear from the spectators’ sight.
