Audrey Estrougo grew up between Paris and its suburbs. The world of the troubled areas, but from a female perspective, is the subject of her first film Regarde moi released in theaters in 2008.

She was only 23 years old at the time. Although she was very young and had no film training, Audrey was offered a major challenge : directing a musical, Toi, moi, les autres.

Since then, Audrey has been fighting to make rare and committed cinema exist. She directed in 2013, and without any financing, Une histoire banale which deals with the aftermath of rape.

La Taularde, a huis clos in the female penitentiary environment with Sophie Marceau, written after two years of immersion in a prison, is released on the screens in September 2016.

At the same time, Audrey shot her first television series for Arte with Romane Bohringer: Héroïnes in 3 episodes broadcast in February 2017. For five years she worked on her fifth film: Suprêmes the biopic on NTM, released in theaters on November 24th, 2021.

A la folie, her sixth feature film, although it was shot in 2019 will see the light of day in theaters in April 2022.
