DIRECTOR - THEY HAVE BEEN HERE AND WILL COME BACK WITH RONAN MAILLARD

Nolwenn Lemesle is a writer-director of Breton origin.

After a university degree in Performing Arts and a specialization in screenwriting, she shot her first short film Poids Plume with the G.R.E.C (SIRAR award in 2004), then went on to make Sid, produced by Paris-Brest Productions & Gloria Films. Des morceaux de moi, her first feature film as writer-director with Adèle Exarchopoulos, Zabou Breitman and Tchéky Karyo, was released in 2013 and received the Bayard d'Or for the best first film at the FIFF in Namur. In 2020, she signed the direction of a single film for Arte with Tracy Gotoas and Déborah François, Les Héritières written by Laure-Élisabeth Bourdaud and Johanna Goldschmidt.

She returned to short films in 2021 with Mauvaise troupe, co-written with Ronan Bertrand, in competition at MCM 2022.

The program “Elles et ils repasseront par là” presents feature films which original music is signed by composers who have benefited from the various creative supports offered by the Festival: Master Class, European market for film music composition, grant for the composition of an original score…
