An Oscar winner for Shakespeare in Love, Maïwenn's official composer (Mon Roi, Polisse, ADN), Stephen Warbeck is a multi-talented artist who, through his sound and, most recently, visual creations, wishes us nothing but good. Guest of honor and member of the jury in 2016, director of the Master Class in 2018, he comes to present his first feature film The Man in the Hat that he co-directed with John-Paul Davidson and for which he composed the original score.

Stephen is an academy award winning English composer best known for his film scores including Shakespeare in Love, Billy Elliot and Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. He is a momentous presence in British cinema and his film scores can most recently be heard in Richard Eyre’s The Children’s Act and in Dominic Dromgoole’s upcoming feature Making Noise Quietly.

The Man In The Hat is Stephen’s feature debut as both a writer and as a director.
