Call for entries

Within the framework of the Music & Cinema Marseille that will be hold from April 1st to 6th, 2024, we are setting up the European Market for film music composition dedicated to composers, sound designers, directors and producers.

This master class is built like a professional training dedicated to music composition for image. It will put together different exercises of composition on one feature or several short films and will give rise to a film concert that will be presented on the occasion of the Closing Ceremony. This Espace Kiosque offers successful screenwriters the possibility to meet several producers during individual interviews. Those meetings takes place during the Festival and are organized in order to exchange and advise.

The SiRAR offers two inseparable grants: the first one, endowed by the city of Aubagne and the Région Sud (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur), offers a young author-director a grant to help with the directing of their first short film, the other awarded by Méridiens in partnership with the Conservatoire National à Rayonnement Régional Pierre Barbizet, offers a young composer a grant to help with the composition of the original music for the winning film.

In addition to these two grants, the co-founders of SiRAR and their partners provide assistance:
